Lilac Trail Tours

Join us for a 45-minute guided tour of the Max and Darlene Lilac Trail and experience the stunning, fragrant lilacs at Arbor Lodge State Historical Park. Originally planted in 1996, our collection boasts 215 specimens scattered throughout the park, making it the largest public lilac collection in Nebraska. Meet near the playground, enjoy mouthwatering barbecue from Porter's popup, and browse our selection of lilac-themed keepsakes at the Arbor Lodge and Apple House Market gift shops. Tours are free, but please RVSP at this link. 30 people maximum per tour.

Workshops at the Lied Greenhouse

Join Mark Canney from Arbor Day Farm as he explores the cultural significance and benefits of lilacs in the garden. Nathan and Ashley Mueller of the International Lilac Society will share expert advice on lilac care, pest management, and maintenance practices. Ben Heusinkvelt, Orchard and Grounds Manager at Arbor Day Farm, will discuss planting, nurturing, and harvesting apple trees in the orchard.
